First Week "First Week", the innovative opening of school each fall, involves all high school students (grades 9-12) in an intensive program designed to integrate the spiritual, curricular, social, and physical aspects of school life in a special mountainous setting at McCall, Idaho's beautiful Quaker Hill camp. Special workshops and seminars are designed to involve all students by class in special academic emphasis from science to drama. A special spiritual emphasis program is a key part of the week and sets the mood for the balance of the year. Another highlight is the computer banquet designed to strengthen and encourage wholesome boy-girl relationships. Opportunity to develop key interpersonal relationships between faculty and students is a vital role of "First Week". This special week is designed to start the year on a positive note and to provide a taste of what the Greenleaf Friends Academy experience is all about. School transportation is required.
