Accolades

Athletics

  • Congratulations to our athletes chosen for the PressTribune All-Star teams for the 1A Treasure Valley Schools:  Aaron S. and Zech S. (football), Michelle G. (volleyball), Luke H. and Kendra G. (cross country).
  • Congratulations for a great Cross Country season. Representing GFA at state competition were Luke H. finishing 8th, Kendra G. finishing 15th, and Tammy P. finishing 27th out of 81runners, and Tony B. finishing 68th out of 104 runners. 
  • Congratulations to Volleyball all-stars -- Seniors Michelle G. received Conference Player of the Year and Megan F. received All-Conference 1st Team honors. Juniors Katie M. and Kamiah S. earned 2nd Team honors.
  • Congratulations to Football players Aaron S. and Zech S. who received 1st Team honors; Tyreill D., Caleb R., and Jake C. who received 2nd Team honors; and Kalab A. and Braydon J. who received honorable mention.
  • Congratulations to seniors Courtney D. and Tyreill D. who were named Homecoming Queen and King during half-time of the homecoming football game on September 21st.

Elementary

  • Congratulations to the winners of Harvest Dinner ticket sales. First place went to 4th grader Jake P.; second place was won by 6th grader Melissa B.; and third place went to 4th grader Austin L.  Thank you to all the students who worked hard to sell tickets.  The dinner was a huge success and 825 meals were served.

Music Department

  • Congratulations to Tyreill D. and Melanie P. for qualifying for the Idaho All State Choir on January 24-26 in Pocatello.  Melanie is representing GFA for the second time, having qualified for this event as a Sophomore.
  • Congratulations to 13 GFA students chosen to participate in the Treasure Valley Honor Choir. TVHC represents the top choir and band students from Treasure Valley 1A-4A schools plus Vallivue High School. More than 300 students participated in the evening performance on November 15th at the Brandt Center on the NNU campus with over 1,000 in attendance.  Greenleaf was represented by wonderful performances by Seniors Melanie P., Carrie V., Tyreill D., Kalab A., Jessa B., Briana K.; Juniors Trevor D., Katie M., Jesse W., and Kamiah S.; and Sophomores Hannah T., Kelly S., and  Jessi H.
