GoodSearch
GFA is now using www.GoodSearch.com to search the internet. The site is powered by Yahoo!, so you will get the same quality search results that you're used to. What's unique is that with every search, money will go directly to GFA. The more people who use this site, the more money will go to the school. Please spread the word to your family & friends.
Gym Sponsorship Signs
Sponsorship signs are available for the gym wall. Cost is $100 -- renewal is $75 each year. If your family or business is interested in supporting the Athletic Department and the school in this way, please contact Karri Fisk or Lisa Patrick.

The program is simple: every time you present your card at FCS, 5% of your purchase will be credited back to GFA in the form of Merchandise Certificates. The Librarian uses these certificates to purchase books for the library. This fundraiser is very important as the Library’s budget does not cover the cost of new books. To receive credit for any online purchases, present your Perks card along with your receipt/packing slip at any local store and the clerk will credit GFA.
To request your free Ministry Perks membership card, stop by the school office, call 459-6346, or e-mail brendabutler@cableone.net. And remember to use your Perks card every time you shop at Family Christian Stores!
February 2008: The 4th quarter certificate (which included "Christmas Shopping") was $68.21!! Praise the Lord! As always, we shop the sales and this month we got 30% off our entire purchase which enabled us to purchase 9 books (value of $132.87 with a total savings of $57.64)
- Chosen and Infidel, the first 2 books in the new "Lost Books" series by Ted Dekker
- Skin by Ted Dekker
- Quiet Strength, a memoir by Tony Dungy, Superbowl XLI winning coach of the Indianapolis Colts
- The Songwriter by Barb Huff
- A Delirious Summer by Ray Blackston
- From the Color Me series by Melody Carlson:
- #10 - bright purple: color me confused
- #12 - harsh pink: color me burned
- Ask Hayley, Volume 2 -- a magazine of "real answers for today's teen" by Hayley DiMarco
Also, donated by a Library Supporter were the first 2 books in the Nama Beach High series by Nancy Rue: #1 - New Girl in Town and #2 - False Friends, the Strangers.
And, if that weren't quite enough, we had a Library Supporter donate the Holly's Heart series, books 1-14, by Beverly Lewis. This Christian series is geared toward the young teen girl.
Please keep in mind that we wish to purchase books that are of interest to the junior high and high school students; and ones that will be read. If your student has any suggestions for books to purchase, please have them give the title and/or author to Mrs. Winchester for her "wish list". This is the best way for our "shoppers" to know which books the kids want to read!
Again, we praise the Lord for your support of this program.
Printer Cartridge Recycling -- Class of 2009
GFA's Class of 2009 is recycling printer cartridges. For each cartridge recycled, the class earns $1.00 to $2.00. The money raised goes on account to finance the Class of 2009's Senior Year trip.
Do not throw away those printer cartridges -- bring them to Mrs. Morgan or send them to the school office. Not only will you prevent the cartridges from ending up in the local landfill polluting our earth, but you will be supporting a good cause.
Box Tops for Education
Box Tops for Education offers three easy ways to earn cash for your school through everyday activities.
Keep saving those GENERAL MILLS Box Tops for Education. Simply cut out the box tops of any of the General Mills products listed
(updated 9/26/07) and bring them to school or give them to any elementary student. Each box top is worth 10 cents and the money raised goes toward needs in the kindergarten and elementary classrooms. The classroom that brings in the most box tops each quarter wins a party!!
Collecting Box Tops for your school can be a fun family pastime. Help your kids create their own collection container or worksheet. They’ll never let you throw out another Box Top again. Visit the Box Tops Activity Center for project downloads.
Albertsons' Community Partners Card
Thank you faithful shoppers for presenting your Community Partners card to your cashier every time you shop at Albertsons. The school is still receiving approximately $400 each quarter from Albertsons for our participation in this program. If you have had your Community Partners card tied to your preferred card in the past, please check your grocery receipts to make sure that it is still indicating that you are supporting GFA. It has been found that sometimes the preferred card and the Community Partners card get disassociated. If you need a new card or if you have never had a Community Partners card, please contact Maxene Brown in the office.
