2009-2010 Tuition and Fee Schedule

Fees and Payment Options

Effective January 1, 2009, any monetary obligation paid with a credit/debit card will be charged a 3% non-refundable transaction fee.  This fee will be used to pay the bank charges associated with processing these payments.  Please call Maxene Brown in the Business Office if you have questions about this policy change.

TUITION SCHEDULE

In computing your total tuition costs, figure the tuition for the student in the highest grade first. The 2nd child receives an 11% discount. The 3rd and 4th children each receive a 40% discount.

Tuition Payment Options:

  1. Prepayment option available in June. 8% of payment discount on tuition payments (cash/check) of $2,000 ($160 credit) or more. If credit card is used, discount is 5% (Balance paid monthly.) 
  2. Full year payment due on registration day in August. No prepayment discounts available after June 30
  3. Two payments of one-half to be paid at beginning of each semester. First payment due on registration day in August.
  4. Eleven monthly payments: September 1st through July 1st
    Ten monthly payments: September 1st through June 1st
    Nine monthly payments: September 1st through May 1st

SENIOR ACCOUNTS MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY GRADUATION (9 MONTH PAYMENT PLAN).

Note: Families send monthly payments to Greenleaf Friends Academy, P.O. Box 368, Greenleaf, ID 83626. Payments are due on the 1st day of the month and are considered late on the 16th ($15 late fee charged).

Registration and Book Fees:

  • Grades K-6 --- $300
  • Grades 7-12 --- $340

Registration and Book Fee Payment:

  • Non-refundable Pre-Registration payment of $100 (gr. K-12) due during the pre-registration period from February 14th through April 15th.  The balance of registration and other fees are due in August on Registration Day.

  • Computer Fee:
    • Grades 1-6 ------------------------- $15 per student
    • Grades 7-12 ------------------------ $25 per student
  • Drama Fee:
    • Grades 6-8 -------------------------- $15 per student
    • Grades 9-12 ------------------------ $35 per student
  • Building & Maintenance Fee --------------- $50 per student
  • Athletic Participation Fee
    • Grades 9-12 ------------------------ $100 per sport
    • Grades 6-8 ------------------------- $55 per sport
  • Class Fees:
    • Art (Grades 7-12) -------------------------------- $35
    • Band Instrument Rental ----------------------- $60
    • Kindergarten snack and graduation fee --- $30
  • Miscellaneous:
    • First Week Camp (grades 9-12) ------ $140
    • Senior Graduation --------------------- $60
  • Parent Involvement/Service Fee:
    • Grades K-12 ----------------------- $190 or 28 hours of service per family

      • Note:
          Each family is expected to pay the parent involvement/service fee or offer a recognized and acceptable service to the school.

All fees are non-refundable. Upon withdrawal, attendance for any portion of a given month requires a full month's tuition payment. Any prior year tuition must be paid before attending class in a new school year.

GFA is a faith operation. Tuition and fees do not cover the total cost of education for the students. Each year, almost 25% of the costs are paid through gifts and other fundraising activities. The faculty and staff, by working for reduced wages, provide much of the support for the Academy. It is imperative that parents make commensurate sacrifices in this most vital area of education. Therefore, each family is asked to help in whatever way possible during the year to make Christian education possible for their children
