Greenleaf Friends Academy operates a quality elementary program giving students the opportunity to grow intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. The program is designed to provide the best academic instruction in a Christian environment with a Bible-centered philosophy.

Kindergartners have an academic program with a strong emphasis on early reading skills. They learn individual as well as blended letter sounds.  The program includes math skills and correlated activities in science, social studies, language arts, health, art, music, and physical education.

Children in grades 1-5 are instructed in language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, and Bible. Art, music, and physical education further complement the curriculum.

Emphasis is given to reading and comprehension skills to support understanding in other subject areas. Students at all grade levels also have access to the computer lab and to the elementary library which is serviced by a full-time staff.

The Bible curriculum is a program designed to provide an historical study of the scripture, memorization, and an application to daily living. Biblical character traits are emphasized regularly, and Bible verses are learned weekly.

Elementary students involved in the instrumental program are given assistance by the instructor in selecting the instrument that best suits the student.

Greenleaf Friends Academy has a beautiful, well-equipped elementary building for the regular classroom instruction

Extra-curricular and social activities are offered as a important balance to academic subjects. Students are given opportunities to participate in musical groups and concerts, chapel, field trips, intramural athletics, spelling bees, and special presentations to retirement centers.

Our goal is to help your child reach his or her own highest potential. To maximize individual attention, we offer moderate-sized classes and self-contained programs to challenge students with high ability. We recognize the key role of parents in the learning process and place a high priority on parent/teacher communications.

Transportation service is available.
